Social Concerns

SOCIAL CONCERNS

Jesus’ concern with other people’s problems led him to heal the sick, feed the hungry, reconcile the estranged, and offer hospitality to the outcast.  In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus taught his followers that we are called to reach out to address the world’s needs.  Throughout the history of the Church, people have witnessed to the community, not only to improve the spiritual life of their neighbors, but also to improve their whole lives.

PURPOSE:  To address the concerns and conditions of persons within our church, community and around the world to ensure that their quality of life is maintained.  This be by monetary donations, meal deliveries, fund-raiser, home assistance or spiritual comfort.
